Our People

Helen Musgrove and Anne Lyon are the principal partners of HICMR Pty Ltd. They are Registered Nurses each with more than 30 years experience in the field of Infection Prevention and Control. They employ a team of appropriately qualified and experienced Infection Prevention and Control Consultants, (ICCs).

Helen and Anne have extensive experience in the area, including Adverse Event and Risk Management, Policy Development & Education.

They regularly advise on developments and refurbishments at local, corporate and government levels. They are also involved in an advisory capacity with Health Departments and Regulatory Bodies in relation to Infection Prevention and Control issues. Both are certified trainers and present at state and national conferences.

In addition, Helen and Jo-Anne Thompson have been integral to the development and successful implementation of the HICMR national Infection Prevention and Control Risk Management Programs in the speciality areas of Flexible Endoscopy, Diagnostic Probes and Sterilising Services. These programs have been running for over 10 years and have significantly improved standards and reduced risks in many healthcare facilities across Australia.

The HICMR state based ICCs provide Infection Prevention and Control support, including conducting regular Infection Prevention and Control Risk Assessments (RAs) of new and existing clients periodically and ongoing. Utilisation of the evidence based and outcomes focused RA Tools, and the unique web based HICMR Assessment and Reporting Program (HARP), ensure compliance with state, national, and international standards and regulations.
